The City of Pleasant Ridge has partnered with Oak Park to sponsor bagged yard waste drop-off locations in Oak Park at Best Park (located on Roanoke between Oak Park Boulevard and 10 Mile) and at the Oak Park City Hall complex.
These drop-off locations will be open until January 6 and are for bagged yard waste only. These locations are an alternative to hauling bagged yard waste to the SOCCRA site in Troy during the off-season for curbside yard waste pickup.
This is a trial run for offering this service. If it is successful we may offer these drop off sites again in March before curbside yard waste pickup resumes on April 7. Oak Park will be monitoring the sites for contamination. If there is illegal dumping or other non-yard waste contamination in the dumpster we will have to end the service.
