Pleasant Ridge and Ferndale were recently awarded over $2 million in Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) funding from SEMCOG and MDOT. This project will implement two-way cycle tracks on both sides of Woodward Avenue.
Woodward will be reduced from four to three lanes in each direction in most of the City of Ferndale. The road cross-section will remain largely unchanged in Pleasant Ridge. The only alteration to travel lanes in Plesaant Ridge will be the elimination of the right turn lane on southbound Woodward south of Poplar Park. The final plan set has not yet been completed, but we will share it when it is. In the meantime, click here to see a map showing the project limits and location of lane reductions.
