Pleasant Ridge turns 100 this year. On May 19, 1919 the electors of what would become Pleasant Ridge voted in favor of incorporating as a Village. This was the first step towards Pleasant Ridge becoming an independent entity.
We will be having a series of events this spring and summer to celebrate our City Centennial. We will be kicking off the festivities with a party on Friday, June 7, at 7:00 pm at the Community Center.
- We’ll be celebrating what’s new in Pleasant Ridge with a ribbon cutting for the new Big Room and patio space.
- We’ll also be celebrating what’s always been special about Pleasant Ridge – our community spirit – with a new residents reception. We are inviting all of our community groups and organizations to come and represent at the reception. This will be a great way for newer residents in town to find out how you can get involved in our rich social and civic network.
- Established residents can enjoy a night out with friends and neighbors at our new community center gathering space.
Light refreshments, hors d’ oeuvres, and beer and wine will be provided.
