Chariot Local Transit Information
Pleasant Ridge and Ferndale have partnered with Chariot, a microtransit service owned by Ford Mobility to provide a 7-month pilot program. The Chariot service is FREE to ride and connects Pleasant Ridge with Ferndale’s downtown and Livernois business districts.
How to Use
To use Chariot, download the Chariot app, available via IOS or Android. You will be asked to create an account with your email address and verify your phone number. Once that is complete, you are ready to book a ride on one of the 7-passenger, wheelchair-accessible Ford Transit vans driven by Chariot’s W-2 employee drivers.
Chariot service is from 4 p.m. to midnight every Thursday through Saturday through March, 2019. One Chariot shuttle runs at all times during the service hours, with an additional shuttle running between 5 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. During peak hours a shuttle will arrive at each stop every 15 minutes. You can see the location of shuttles on the Chariot app.
